From 1948-2008 (60 years), Dodgertown was the Spring Training home of the Brooklyn and Vero Beach Dodgers. This was the first fully integrated Spring Training facility in the South, thanks to Jackie Robinson and teams assembled by visionaries Walter O’Malley and Branch Rickey.
Today, under the leadership of former Dodgers owner Peter O’Malley, Historic Dodgertown Sports and Conference Center is a vibrant facility welcoming youth and adult sports teams for training and games, corporate groups for leadership training and retreats, filming, as well as hosting community events throughout the year. Our 89 hotel villa rooms, conference center, clubhouse and training facilities, pool, lighted tennis and basketball courts are widely used by teams and groups who stay here.
Historic Dodgertown attracts local, national, and international participants and visitors through a wide variety of athletic and corporate events.Teams and organizations that currently or have previously trained at Historic Dodgertown include the SK Wyverns of the Korea Baseball Organization, the Minor League Baseball Umpire Academy, the Canadian Football League's Montreal Alouettes and Sasketchwan Roughriders, Major League Baseball Elite Development Invitational, the University of South Florida Bulls football team, the Washington Freedom women's professional soccer team and the Chinese National Baseball Team.
