VERO BEACH, Fla. – Some of the top amateur baseball players in Canada will make their annual journey to Historic Dodgertown for intense training and fundamentals beginning on Sunday. The Midget AAA Development Network, now in its 28th year of enhancing the game of baseball in Canada, is one of the elite developmental programs in the country. Many alumni of the program have gone onto professional careers including former L.A. Dodgers catcher Russell Martin and top St. Louis Cardinals prospect Oscar Tavares.

VERO BEACH, Fla. – The Lady Greyhounds of Lincoln Park Academy will host an eight team tournament on the cloverleaf softball fields at Historic Dodgertown on April 11th and 12th. Teams include Eau Gallie, Okeechobee, Sebastian River, Miami Carrollton, Treasure Coast, Merritt Island, Palm Bay and Coral Springs Charter.
The two pool play brackets will conclude with Final Place games getting underway at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Admission to each day is $5.00 and concessions will be available throughout the tournament.

Canadian Football League’s Montreal Alouettes to Host Mini Camp and Open Tryout at Historic Dodgertown
VERO BEACH, Fla. – Professional football returns to the grounds of Historic Dodgertown this weekend with the arrival of the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. The Alouettes have been one of the premier organizations in the CFL having won back-to-back Grey Cups in 2009-2010, while making the playoffs in both 2011 and 2012. Following an atypical season in 2013 at 8-10, the squad looks to use Historic Dodgertown as a launching pad to a successful 2014 campaign beginning June 14th against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

VERO BEACH, Fla. – The prestigious U.S. Soccer National Coaches “A” License Course begins Saturday, April 5th, for a nine-day camp at Historic Dodgertown. The course will include lectures, class work and field instruction showcasing Historic Dodgertown’s diversity in hosting sport and conference center events.

Sebastian River High School to Host Vero Beach High School in Annual Scholarship Foundation Game at Historic Dodgertown
VERO BEACH, Fla. – The Sebastian River High School baseball team will play host to rival Vero Beach High School on Saturday, April 5th, to benefit the Scholarship Foundation of Indian River County. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m., with first pitch taking place at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $6, with $2 of every ticket being donated to the Scholarship Foundation of IRC.

VERO BEACH, Fla. – Now a Founding Partner of Historic Dodgertown, Hideo Nomo has returned to visit the facility fresh off his election into the Japan Baseball Hall of Fame. Nomo partnered with former Dodgers owner Peter O’Malley, his sister Terry O’Malley Seidler and former teammate Chan Ho Park in managing Historic Dodgertown in 2012.
